Currently FOOCC are providing Brisbane City Council with options for a proposed bikeway across Oxley creek that are cheaper, better for the community and cause less environmental damage.
It appears that Land tenure issues are at long last being sorted out – The State Government is now keen to get responsibility for this area transferred over to Brisbane City Council in 2012.
BIKEWAY UPDATE
Good news, Brisbane City Council has listened to Community Concerns re the proposed Bikeway from Sherwood Road to Nosworthy Park, and has announced that this project is no longer going ahead for the foreseeable future. Thank you to the numerous citizens who worked hard submitting proposals to achieve this outcome.
